Read full descriptions on everything that’s being showcased at the festival. Performers are responsible for coming up with classifications to accurately represent the content of their shows. We highly encourage patrons to carefully read the descriptions, age recommendations, warnings and accessibility options to find a show that best fits you and your group. Navigate your way around the festival with the venue map and venue list.
Fringe programs will be available at Liquor Mart stores, the Royal MTC Box Office and McNally Robinson on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
To make sure everyone has a positive experience, please follow these guidelines: arrive early (latecomers aren’t permitted), don’t take photos or video, and remember to turn off all devices before the show starts!
Many companies provide special discounts for students, seniors and others. You can save even more by taking advantage of the 2 for $12 performances.
Street construction can make it difficult to find parking downtown and in the Exchange District. We encourage you to arrive early to find parking and get to your venue, as latecomers aren't admitted.
Local media outlets often publish reviews, but that isn’t the only way to find out what’s worth seeing. Word of mouth is a great way to hear rave reviews from fellow Fringers in Old Market Square, in the beer tent, or online.
The official Winnipeg Fringe Facebook page, Twitter feed and Instagram account are great hubs for getting the latest news, sharing photos, participating in contests and hearing what others are recommending. Follow our platforms and use #wpgfringe to stay connected!

Friendly volunteers are available to answer questions. Visit one of our information centres to purchase a program and to get help from knowledgeable volunteers. Volunteers are located across Old Market Square, around our beverage pavilions, in the Royal MTC lobby and outside performance venues. You can also contact the Fringe Hotline at 204 943 7464 for information on the fly.
The Winnipeg Fringe believes all participants – performers, patrons, volunteers and staff – deserve a respectful and inclusive environment in which to enjoy the festival. We invite everyone to enjoy the diverse range of entertainment and offer a welcoming, inclusive, safe and respectful environment for all members of our community and visitors, no matter their age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, appearance, ethnicity, religion or any other protected characteristic as defined by provincial Human Rights law. All concerns brought to Fringe staff will be reviewed and taken seriously. The Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival has the right to ask any person who is creating an unsafe atmosphere to leave the festival.
Is it your first time at the Fringe, or know someone you’d like to introduce to the festival? At only $76 for 8 shows or $130 for 14 shows, our Frequent Fringer Passes are the best way to start out slow. These passes can be redeemed by one person for two performances or by two people for one performance. Frequent Fringer Passes are available at the Fringe Box Office located inside Royal MTC at 174 Market Ave.
