What is Busking?

Elvis impersonating and plate spinning doesn’t always come with a huge payout, and neither does busking. Not without audience participation anyway.
Buskers are incredibly talented performers who love entertaining audiences.
But sometimes, the love is not quite enough. It’s nice to earn a living – eat, pay rent or both! So, after enjoying the entertainment provided by these gifted performers, please show your appreciation by tossing a loonie or toonie – or go all in with all your chips – into the hat. The buskers thank you, thank you very much.

Please tip the Fringe buskers after you've enjoyed their show! Thank you!

Performer Bios

Flo - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Flo is emotion and truth juxtaposed. Her musical style is firmly rooted in R&B, with generous infusions of jazz, soul and hints of pop. A Canadian prairie R&B phenomenon like Remy Shand, Flo hails from Manitoba. Born to Nigerian parents, she sings in a style reminiscent of the great voices of our time, evoking the velvety-sensitive forthrightness of Sade and the integrity and social awareness of Lauryn Hill.

Dream State Circus - Australia/England

This Aussie/English duo will delight and entertain you with their magical performances as they have done with audiences in over 30 countries around the world. By day, watch their upbeat circle show incorporating high skill acrobalance and juggling together to prove with trust, respect, and the ability to work together anything is possible. By night, fire and dance come together with music and acro to create a unique and wonderful moment in time... Their shows are suitable for the very young to the very old; and are positive, uplifting, inspiring and bold!!!

Honeyeyes - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Honeyeyes is a Winnipeg-based band set to release their first full-length album. Blending alt-rock with ethereal vocals and citing influences ranging from Pink Floyd to Fleetwood Mac, Honeyeyes takes you on a journey of intense highs and ambient lows that will stay with you long after the music has faded.
