PRE-SHOW ANNOUNCEMENTS: - if you are incorporating the announcement into your pre-show music, please ensure that the message is played within 5 minutes of the start of the show (closer to the start of the show is ideal).

We encourage all companies to use thier own personal Land Acknowledgement before their performances. This year we have uploaded a version of the preshow annoucement that includes the Winnipeg Fringe Land Acknowledgement, if you would like to play that before your performances.

When you click the links below, they should automatically start a download.

2024 ANNOUNCEMENTS TO COME!

1. Pre-Show Annoucement ONLY
2. Pre-Show Annoucement WITH Land Acknowledgement

The Winnipeg Fringe Land Acknowledgment is included in the printed program and on the website. If you would like to include this land acknowledgement on any of your printed material, here is the text.

The Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival is proud to call Manitoba home. The Winnipeg Fringe is located on Treaty 1 territory, the lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis. We are thankful for the benefits sharing this land has afforded us, acknowledge the responsibilities of the Treaties, and embrace the opportunity to partner with Indigenous communities in the spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.

SOUND: Q LAB

The Winnipeg Fringe is pleased to let you know that we will have QLab in all the regular venues (v1-10 and the Kids Venue) this year.  We are using version 4, which is suitable for audio playback only (see venues below to learn what version each uses).

If you would like to take advantage of this, you have a couple of options:

•    Best Option! Bring your entire show, pre-programmed in QLab4 with all the media in an appropriate folder on a USB stick. This is the fastest way to get your show up and running.
•    Bring your media on a USB stick and we can program the show for you. Note that this option takes time from your Technical rehearsal. If the show is complex, we recommend Option 1.
•    Please ensure that your audio files are in .wav or .aiff format, NEVER in MP3. MP3 files will not work reliably.
