NOTE: Any volunteer that is scheduled on the Venue Team will be
scheduled for BOTH ticket-selling and usher shifts. Working only usher shifts is
not an option. For every two ticket-selling shifts worked, volunteers may work
one ushering shift.
NOTE: We will do our best to place you on the team that you choose; however, space is limited on all teams.
NOTE: If you wish to volunteer on more than one team you must be willing to work 5 shifts or more.

Availability
Please let us know when you are able to volunteer for the Fringe. We understand that schedules change. However, please estimate your availability as best you can at this time. Shifts are generally between four and six hours long. The greater availability you provide, the greater the likelihood that we’ll be able to find shifts that fit into your schedule.
NOTE: It is mandatory to fill in a MINIMUM 5 hour block of time for each shift that you can volunteer.

Billeting
Open up your spare room to an out of town performer, and make their stay in
Winnipeg more fun and affordable. All hosts receive a package of Fringe goodies
and free show passes.

Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form
I HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN AND/OR VOLUNTEERING AT THE WINNIPEG FRINGE THEATRE FESTIVAL, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them or because of their possible liability without fault.
- I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival and the Manitoba Theatre Centre from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this event;
- I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival and the Manitoba Theatre Centre from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity or event, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise.
I understand that at this event or relation activities, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns.
The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THE ABOVE; AND I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS
CONTENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT AND I
AGREE TO IT OF MY OWN FREE WILL.
Volunteer Welcome/Information Session
ALL volunteers are required to attend a Welcome/Information session. These sessions will be a chance to greet new volunteers, for Fringe staff to meet volunteers and to get everyone up to speed on any changes that we are introducing for the 2012 Fringe.
The Welcome/Information sessions will take place from mid-June to mid-July and will be approximately 2 hours in length. At least 3 sessions will be scheduled at different times and on different days. You will be required to attend ONE of these sessions. Specific dates and times will be provided at a later date.
