TRANSPORTATION & PARKING

Cowboy-275h.jpg

Need help navigating the city streets? Whether you prefer to drive, hop on a bus or use active transit, you're in the right place! Your horse may be your quickest option but we don't have any hay vendors at Old Market Square. ;)

WINNIPEG TRANSIT

If you're a regular transit user, you'll know Winnipeg Transit has a new network up and running. Check out their website to plan the best route to get to Old Market Square or your next Fringe venue!

BIKE PARKING

Bike-parking-400w.jpg

If you choose to power your way to the Fringe, we recommend you take advantage of our free supervised bike parking in the Pantages Playhouse courtyard (180 Market Ave.). Lock up your bike while our volunteers and safety staff keep an eye on it from 10am–12:30am.

Old Market Square also has public, unsupervised bike racks to use. Please ALWAYS lock up your bike!

ON-STREET PARKING

The City is removing their paystations in paid on-street parking areas and several surface lots starting July 2. The current paystations:

  • Run on outdated technology
  • Have reached the end of their useful life
  • Attract theft and vandalism

You can continue to use the PayByPhone mobile app to pay for parking.

If you prefer cash payment, you can continue to purchase Prepaid Parking Booklets at The Parking Store (495 Portage Ave.). They can also be purchased with debit or credit cards. Booklets will also be sold at our 311 counters at the Susan A. Thompson Building (510 Main St.) and Accès-Access Saint-Boniface (170 Goulet St.) by July 2.
