red dirt / red storm
by Ashley Victoria Robinson

Los Angeles playwright and actor! red dirt / red storm, written by award-losing playwright, Ashley Victoria Robinson, is a thought-provoking love story that offers a meta modern examination of humanity's place in the world. Exploring themes of love, ambition, and existentialism, the play utilizes an alternating past/future timeline to delve into the relationship between Sputnik (Ess, for short), the first baby born on Mars, and Clark, an aspiring engineer with a deep longing to reach Mars and beyond.

Set in a not-so-distant future, the story centers around the complex and conflicting emotions of Ess and Clark as they navigate their lives through different time periods.

Until an explosion happens and not only are the characters, but their conception of each other, shaken up.
